When we think of cybersecurity, the analysts working on the front lines to prevent, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats often come to mind. But designing and implementing an effective cybersecurity program requires people with a multitude of skillsets who often work behind the scenes. This includes not only technical skills, but also expertise in policy development, insurance, law enforcement, education, and research.
Hosted by CANARIE, the goal of the inaugural Canadian SecuR&E Forum is to start the community-building process by introducing those involved in cybersecurity to people and disciplines that they may not have previously encountered.
When it comes to effective cybersecurity, it truly takes a village.
Who Should Attend?
Feedback from this inaugural pilot event will be used to shape future Canadian SecuR&E Forums.
Please note: This event will immediately follow the CANARIE Summit. Summit participants who wish to do so can join us for lunch at noon, after the conclusion of the Summit, and attend the Canadian SecuR&E Forum sessions in the afternoon.
